- Every client I work with and every story I write (www.machonink.com) affects me in a profound way. When writing feature articles, I am honored to interview amazing people, profile selfless causes and tackle challenging subjects. However, due to a little thing called "word count" my assigned story often only breaks the surface of an issue or subject I wish I could delve into deeper, or expand upon in an entirely new direction. For that reason, I've created this little blog to extend my outreach potential. In a small way, I hope to keep the spotlight on just some of the projects that have forever touched my life in one way or another.
How My Life Has Changed Because of My Work
- I am suspicious of every lump, bruise and strange skin spot on everyone around me. And I admire cancer survivors more than I ever could imagine.
- I feel guilty using potable water for anything but drinking.
- I have met some amazing celebrities, home town heroes and parents/citizens of the year.
- I now use reuseable, cloth grocery bags. When I remember to bring them to the store, that is.
- I'm excited about the future of renewable energy and its aggressive implementation in the near future.
- I've cut artificial colors, flavors and preservatives from my family's diet. And found it's incredibly easy to do.
- I've realized how individualized, software-based curriculum can spell the difference in helping today's students achieve success.
